Founding Story
Valiant Peregrine was founded in 2019, with the belief that many of the world's best companies are staying private longer and are creating significantly more value as private companies than in prior decades. Our founder, Danny Karubian, was previously a Founding Partner at Valiant Capital, our affiliate, where he led many of Valiant's investments in public and private technology and consumer internet businesses, prior to founding Peregrine.
The Peregrine Falcon
The peregrine falcon is the fastest animal on earth, capable of reaching speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour when diving to catch prey. They have successfully adapted to modern environments by utilizing skyscrapers as part of their habitat, including Valiant Peregrine's headquarters in Santa Monica. As we thought about the type of firm we wanted to build, we drew inspiration from the small but mighty peregrine falcon, whose attributes include agility, resourcefulness, focus, and adaptability. Peregrine falcons are regularly seen from our Santa Monica office, reminding our team of the characteristics we strive to uphold daily.
